About Hondoq Bay
Hondoq Bay is a small sandy beach with crystal-clear water located in Qala, directly opposite the island of Comino. It's one of the most popular swimming locations on Gozo.
Swimming
Swimming at Hondoq Bay is ideal for both beginners and experienced swimmers. The sea starts from a shallow bay and gets deeper farther out, making it a perfect spot for diving with three different depths to explore.
Sunrise
In addition to swimming and diving, Hondoq Bay is a great place to catch one of the most beautiful sunrises you'll ever see. Facing East, the bay provides stunning views of the sunrise, and on certain days of the year, the sun rises exactly between the farthest point of Gozo and Comino. If you visit Hondoq Bay on a partly cloudy day during dawn, the clouds in the sky will turn red just before the sun starts coming up from the horizon.
